Quick Consult
Space to think through a question, idea or experience
A one-to-one conversation that draws on my research, experience and Black feminist perspective.
Topics
What can we talk about?
These are some of the things people bring. If your question is not listed here but connects with my work, you are still welcome to book.
Research
Developing or getting a critical perspective on a dissertation, thesis, research project, theoretical framework, methodology or piece of writing.
Teaching & learning
Designing a course, curriculum or teaching materials, or thinking through how to approach a subject or classroom through a Black feminist lens.
Race, identity & belonging
Thinking through an experience of racism, exclusion or discrimination, including when you are unsure how to interpret or name what happened.
Work & organisations
Exploring organisational culture, structural inequality, a policy or proposed approach, or how to put Black feminist thought into practice at work.
Digital cultures & technology
Discussing how race, gender and power shape digital spaces and technologies, and how we create, connect and resist within them.
A sounding board
For questions, themes or topics that do not fit neatly into any one category, but would benefit from my knowledge and perspective.

Audience
Who is it for?
Students, researchers, academics, educators, writers, creatives and people working in organisations.

Please note: Quick Consults are conversations to help you think things through. They are not a substitute for therapy, counselling or legal advice. If you need that kind of support, please contact a qualified professional.
Free and reduced-rate places
A limited number of free and reduced-rate consultations are available to support access to this work. These are reserved for Black women who are students or unwaged. I use the term “women” in the broadest and most inclusive sense, encompassing the diversity of identities, experiences and ways of being that it holds.
Please get in touch to enquire about availability.
